Added
eight new optional columns (de-selected by default but can be turned on
at run-time using the Advanced Options tab) to the FOAPAL
Codes report. The columns are Level 1 through 8 Coding.
When creating a public Virtual
Column, the default column state is now "De-selected" (meaning
users need to go to the Advanced Options tab on the report to select/enable
the column if they would like to use it). Administrators can still use
the report level administration tab to change the default state to "On"
if they would like this column always enabled, by default, for all end
users.
Added the ability to drill down on the
Q1-Q4 columns from the Summary by Acct Detail - Quarterly Trend report
to the Transaction Detail - Actuals report.
Added a new column called "Virtual
Column Owner" to the Datagrid
Admin page. This is blank for baseline columns, says "Public"
for public Virtual Columns, and indicates the name of the person who created
the Virtual Column if it is private.
Added the ability to add and enforce
"mandatory" Dashboard
Filters in order to force end users to add a filter prior to executing
the dashboard.
Added first round of Audit
Reporting for the Alternate Hierarchy Admin.
We also added an Alternate
Hierarchy Data Entry page which allows for mass deletes, updates and
migration of hierarchies (one or more) between FAST environments.
All new online training videos are now
fully ADA compliant to include Closed Captioning as an available option.
End users will now have the option, on all new videos released, to click the CC button to read the text
rather than listen to the audio.
Added a check box filter of "Suppress
$0 Lines?" to all Summary by Hierarchy, FOAPAL and Acct Detail reports.
This will hide lines where every value is $0.00. Please note that this
filter is turned off by default and users should be aware that if enabled,
there can be debits and credits that net to zero dollars; these would
also be suppressed using the new filter option.
Added
"Year End Actuals FY####" (Current, -1, -2, -3 and -4 years,
based on selected Fiscal Period filter) as user selectable columns to
the Trial Balance, Financial Statements and User Defined Reports.
Added
the ability for Dashboard Filters to be used with baseline Finance reports
on Finance Dashboards. Furthermore, when
applying a Dashboard Filter and then drilling down to the filtered Pinned
Report, the applied Dashboard
filter(s) will now flow through to the report as edited Filter Options.
You can then choose to click
"Save as" at the report level if you wish to save those changes.
A minor change has been made to the individual
E-mail control; when sending a single e-mail to a single recipient at
the report level, the recipient's name will now populate and display in
the control for greater clarity. Previously it displayed "sending
1 of 1".
You can now add your Pinned Reports
directly to the main reporting menu for a quick and easy access alternative;
this is available as an option when saving
Pinned Reports and when sharing
Pinned Reports. This is managed at the application level and can be
disabled using Configuration Setting #3000.
Several updates have been made to the
Managing Alternate Hierarchies
logic including an error message that will display if you attempt to re-use
an existing coding element and a character limit of 20 for the Coding
element "Code" and of 100 for the Coding element "Description".
The "number of executions"
column on the Pinned
Report Admin page has been modified to allow administrators to drill
down to view the execution summary history and details for a specific
Pinned Report.
The e-mail control has been modified;
the "from" address override field has been replaced with a "reply
to" address field. Configuration Setting #5103 has been added to
allow the "reply to" field to be displayed or hidden. The setting
is application-specific but will be global (on all the various e-mail
controls) within that application.
The report-level
Excel export options have been updated to include the standard "export
to Excel", "export with column headers only" (no footer)
and "export raw data only" to allow end users more options in
how the data is exported, collected and then used once exported. This
is only available on a select number of reporting pages and excludes the baseline Summary reports (Summary
by Hierarchy/FOAPAL/Acct Detail).
Created a new parent node under Administration
called Data Refresh. This node contains a new Data
Refresh Log page that displays Baseline and Client Refresh information.
This node also contains other
related information such as Client Warehouse Builder and View
Data Refresh Status report.
Added a warning icon with an information
hover pop-up to appear beside the "Data as of..." label in each
application when a Data
Refresh has not run successfully since a specified period of time.
The refresh warning threshold can be set for each application using configuration
setting 5102 - "Warn users if data refresh has not run successfully
for [N#] number of hours." This has been set by default to 48 hours.
Added the
Alternate Hierarchy
functionality to the Trial Balance and Balance Sheet reports.
Improved navigation on baseline Summary
reports mean that you can now click on the blue fields (coding elements,
description and/or dollar values) or also click directly on the + sign
to traverse the hierarchy
and drill-down to more detail.
Added a new report named Field
Search under the Help menu in each application; this report allows
users to search through all the columns, filters, menu items, report titles
and report descriptions to find any given phrase or field name. The report
will only return results based on the user's menu security.
Added the ability to execute reports using
the combination 'Ctrl + Enter' keyboard shortcut. This will work for most
pages that contain a green 'Execute' button. This feature will work on
the Filter Options, Administration, and Report Results (when a filter
change has been made) tab.
Converted
all the Fiscal Period filters
on foundation reports to use a new style hierarchy list. Instead of picking
a fiscal period from a list that contains hundreds of periods, the fiscal
years are now collapsed. Individual periods within a given year only show
when the user clicks on a given year to expand it. The current fiscal
year is expanded by default for easy access. The current fiscal period
is highlighted in bold, and all year end periods are highlighted in italic.
This option is also now available on the Application
Info Tab.
We have added a Glossary
to serve as an appendix for commonly used terminology across the FAST
applications.
We have added a FAST Safe
Mode to baseline reporting pages. Safe Mode allows the system to automatically
search for Virtual Columns when an error is returned; if the Virtual Columns
are deemed to be the cause of the error, they are automatically disabled
and the report results will display in Safe Mode. This allows end users
to continue to make use of a reporting page while the Virtual Column formulas
are reviewed and resolved.
We
now use the global Page Title as the default file name for all foundation
report exports (for reports that are not Pinned), and the Report Name
for all Pinned Reports. We have now added the ability for you to override
and customize the export file name for Pinned
Reports, Foundation Reports (for
Administrators), and also on your custom reporting pages when completing
the Page Details
step in the Page Builder Wizard.
The FAST
Alternate Hierarchies are now available! If your reporting requirements
call for you to regularly report on FOAP detail that does not roll-up
in the default Banner hierarchy, you can now create your own "alternate
hierarchies" for any of the four elements of Fund, Orgn, Acct, Prog.
This means literally an unlimited number of roll-up and organizational
combinations for your regular finance reporting using the baseline summary
reports (hierarchy, foapal, acct detail) and position reports. We have
included instructions on how to Create
Alternate Hierarchies, Manage
your Alternate Hierarchies as well as instructions for end users on
how to run reports using
those Alternate Hierarchies.
Added a new
Function-based filter option
(Fx) to the Fund Fin. Mgr. and Orgn Fin. Mgr filters of "Me".
This will make it much easier for individual managers to be able to return
only "their" data when running the foundation summary reports.
The FAST Communication
Centre has arrived! This amazing new tool offers the ability to communicate
with students and employees using Pools through SMS and Email. It can
be used for direct (2-way) SMS communication and even mass communication
using FAST report results to generate the communication list for you.
Administrators can also now add the new SMS Communication Control to any
custom reporting pages!
Created a new "Manually
Generate Notification" option under the Administration menu in
each Application. This new form allows you to create and send out a manual
notification (using FAST Notifications) rather than relying on the system-generated
notifications.
