The Field Search report is located, by default, under the Help Menu in each FAST application.
This report allows users with access to search through all columns, filters, menu items, report titles and report descriptions to find any given phrase or field name. This report will only return results based on the user's menu security (the fields that they have access to).
To use the Field Search report, you can query for a variety of values including Field Type (column or filter), Data Field (text), Field Title (text), Report Title (text) and more. If you are not sure and would like to query based on any/all possible values, use the "Not Sure (Match any field)" option. You can also run the report without filter options. The text fields are not case sensitive and will return values with an assumed wildcard (no % key is needed).
The report results will show you all possible matches for the field name entered. The results include Field Type (column or filter), Data Field (element), Field Title, Active (yes or no), Report Title, Report Description. This allows end users and power users to better understand the various fields in FAST and begin to get a sense of which reports contain which values.
